The Cold Therapy System works excellent to relieve my knee pain and swelling. There is one issue, the long stretchy belt provided to hold the bladder alone doesn't really do the job, and I would suggest that you include a shorter wrap for the bottom of the pad to secure and place the cold therapy. I purchased another belt separately.

Details: I have been using this system 3 times per day for about 3 weeks and I love it. It is of great quality and it controls my swelling quite well. I had right knee replacement surgery a month ago and I was using an ice bag but it just did not seem to do the trick. The therapy system targeted all the right areas and I think it made a big difference for my recovery. I HIGHLY recommend this quality system.

Details: We bought the Polar Ice Machine, knee compression and the temperature control and car plugin power. We were thrilled with the ability to take it on vacation with us and use it during the travel. The knee compression is too small, but we improvised with attaching straps on the back. We are quite thrilled with the whole works and fully recommend this!

Details: I’ve had hand surgery, a 4-level lumbar back fusion, a hip replaced and major foot surgery and with every surgery I used Polar Products Cold Therapy System for at least 2 weeks following each surgery (2 months with my back surgery). I wore my first unit out (that I purchased in 2013) because I loaned it to friends and family. I purchased the latest version in March 2019 and love the improvements with a quieter motor and digital timer. My doctors have all been amazed at my first follow up appointments because they see the remarkable reduction in swelling and are pleased that I didn’t need to stay on pain medications for an extended time. The key is convincing your doctor to place the “ bladder” as near to the incision site as possible because the cold water is more effective. Take the universal bladder (keep it in the plastic bag for sanitary measures) with you on your surgery day. I purchased a foot bladder for my March surgery and discovered the doctor had to cut along the seam to open it up to fit around around my foot. Plus, the nurses wanted to see my toes and test for touch sensation. So, if you need foot surgery use the universal bladder that comes with the machine. The benefit of using this product after orthopedic surgery far outweighed the cost of purchasing it. And, I believe the product is a bargain. Just be sure to order it in time so you don’t need to pay higher mailing costs. One other factor to consider is that the customer service at Polar Products is beyond excellent. Take time to read the Polar Story and you will understand that this company has your best interest at heart.

Details: This thermal machine (Polar AIS Therapy System) is amazing!! I have arthritis in my lower back and this machine has helped so much! I even used it on my niece who broke her foot and she loved it, tried to keep it! Only wish I had it 2 years ago when I broke my knee!! Love love this machine.

Details: The Active Ice Cold Therapy unit is a really great product. It gets very cold. I had ACL surgery and I couldn''t have made it through without it. It really cut down on the amount of pain medicine I had to use.

Details: The tubing connectors are hospital grade, resilient but a little tough to push in to connect. I bought one machine for each floor of the house and the y-connector so I can ice two knees at a time.

Details: I'll admit seeing the box with my Active Ice 2.0 - It was much smaller than I had anticipated. I was pleasantly surprised. The 9 Qt. cooler worked far better than I thought it could. Only improvement I'd like to see (and buy) would be a higher volume knee pad that would allow more cool water to flow over the area. Thumbs up - well done crew.

Details: A friend had told me [the Active Ice®] was the greatest thing since sliced bread so I ordered it just before surgery. However, when I came home from the hospital, I ended up with two of them. The hospital also gave me one. I contacted Polar Products, explained the situation and asked if one could be returned. Their customer service representative was cordial and extremely helpful. I'd recommend the product solely on the basis of great customer service, but having an extra one, I can also vouch for the fact that it's been a lifesaver. Highly recommended!

Details: My knee has a defect that has been lifelong, although I ski raced in college, volunteer ski patrol now and am very active I recently had ligament reconstruction surgery to correct the issue. I could not have made it this far with range of motion, swelling reduction and overall comfort without your Active Ice 2.0® therapy system.
