Details: The Polar Active Ice 3.0 is like manna from heaven for a post-surgical knee. Highly recommended for its reliability and comfort. When I emailed customer support with a suggestion, I unexpectedly got a personal phone call from an actual person with the company. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Details: At the moment I can't imagine a night without this device. I am 17 months after knee surgery and developed the issue that my knee turns warm and irritated when inactive, so definetly when sleeping. Without this device I would wake up after several hours and it took so long to sleep again. I really love the timer, so comfy that you just can go sleep in silence and it will just go on at night. I am now slowly lengthening the off time, hopefully my knee will then turn to normal some day. Tip (yes it is in the manual): clean the connection tube with water and a bit of olive oil. It became really stiff but after doing this it works as good as it did in the first week. I am so happy that I bought this. But hope I won't need it for too long anymore )

Details: This my 4th Ice Cooling system for joints, it looks like a real winner in comparison to the first two Breg units, the 3rd Breg unit is cheap for insurance and does not function well.

Details: I recommend this due to the fact this will help you immensely with reducing the swelling and pain. I suggest to also process the kneepad wrapping that goes over the cold pad that you use around a knee. The pad comes with a strap but the knee pad over it does the job. I also suggest to Add the timer and to use frozen water bottles instead of using ice and having to empty the unit. This will save you much time and with the time or you know the device is being used when you want it to be used.

Would you recommend this to a friend?: If you have any surgery this certainly will help reduce your pain during the time you heal.

Details: I bought this to make icing easier after knee-replacement surgery. The timer makes it possible to ice off-and-on all day without struggling to get a new ice pack from the freezer every couple of hours. It’s pricey, but it is such a great product that I’m happy to pay the person who came up with this fantastic contraption every penny. Every household should have one for the random twisted ankle or banged-up shoulder.

Details: This system has been a Godsend for my wife after knee surgery. She was off pain meds after a couple of days and now just uses this system. No drugs! It’s been super easy for me to manage too. I found some containers that are just the size to fit in the main area of the ice well. With a block of ice that big, the system works for 24 hours without replacing the ice. Each night I swap the block from that day with a totally frozen one and she’s good for 24 hours. Water/ice stays in the container so no emptying of water needed. Awesome!

Details: I picked this up for upcoming shoulder replacement, but have been using it on my recently replaced knee as well. On first glance, the components seem very simplistic and you begin to wonder about the mark up. I can’t fault it’s effectiveness, however. Be sure to use frozen water bottles vs ice. It makes setup and cleaning so much simpler. The only issue was the universal therapy pad connection to the dual hose can sometimes kink, so I’ve learned to keep the feeder hose as straight as possible (bending it seems like an invitation to flow restriction). The straight hose means you need to keep the ice chest positioned away from you, in line with the joint you want to cool. Other than that minor inconvenience, this thing works well and the timer on/off cycle option is great for extended usage.

Details: Great Product as always. This is my second Polar Products ice therapy machine. I needed this one because it has a telescopic handle and wheels. I was recently in a wreck on my Harley and broke off 11 ribs. This machine is helping tremendously. Tip for ice. Instead of ice cubes, double the water and add 9ea 16oz frozen water bottles. It lasts about 10 hrs.
