Details: I ordered this pad for future use. I purchased the entire cooling system in anticipation of shoulder surgery in late January. It was a Godsend, and I am convinced it helped my recovery go much smoother.

Details: I have had the Polar Products ice machine through 4 joint replacements. This was the best decision I have made. Other than having to get a new pad because the velcro strap wore out, this an excellent product.

Details: I bought this knee wrap. I have used this Polar system with the knee wrap before for past joint surgeries. This time I had a knee replacement. For the first 2 weeks after my replacement, I used this around the clock intermittently to reduce swelling and pain. At night I set it for 30 minutes on and 30 minutes off all night. It was an auto setting so I slept through the night. This icing process is a large part of why 16 days post replacement I have minimal swelling, bruising and ROM a little ahead of schedule. No having to change and refreeze soft ice packs. The cooler keeps cold a good 6-8 hours. I freeze 6 oz water bottles and put 6-7 of them in the cooler. No need for a bulky ice bag cluttering up the freezer. I have 2 sets of 7 and just rotate them. I highly recommend purchasing this system.
