Details: Easy to use. The timer is very helpful for keeping track of cold therapy sessions. The instructions suggestion of using frozen plastic bottles and water made recharging it easier.

Details: We decided to buy an ice machine for our son's ACL and Meniscus surgery so my husband researched and found that the Polar Active Ice 3.0 had everything we wanted: temperature control, 24 hour on/off/ time increment cycle control, and multiple pad choices. We ordered it and it arrived within 2 days. It was easy to set up and we found using the frozen water bottles worked beautifully as recommended in the instructions. This was a game changer in our son's recovery! His pain and surgical swelling were significantly less! My son loved it. Another important thing to mention is their customer service-A+! I emailed Polar Products on a Saturday night, late and they responded on Sunday! We would highly recommend the Polar Active Ice 3.0 Knee & Joint Cold Therapy System!

Details: I had a total knee replacement 2 weeks ago and I have been using this machine 4 times a day. In the morning I set it to come on for 20 minutes and go off for 20 minutes and repeat the cycle once more. In the evening I do the same thing. I love the remote control, and the machine works great right out of the box. The best thing to do is read the directions! There are bits of information you need to know before you begin using this machine.

Details: Excellent product that made icing my knee following knee replacement surgery so much easier. The system works very well and lets me sit back and relax without worrying about ice packs slipping off or ice being applied inconsistently. The only downside is that the hoses occasionally kink, so I have to make sure to keep an eye on them and unkink them when in use.

Details: I purchased the Polar Active Ice 3.0 prior to my knee replacement surgery. It worked very well and provided the relief I needed without requiring me to go to the freezer to swap ice packs every couple of hours. I used the unit with both cube ice and block ice, and I only needed to replace ice every 12-14 hours. The digital control allowed me to set the 20 minutes on/20 minutes off cycle that my doctor requested. This is a great product.

Details: I had knee replacement surgery on January 24th. The first four to five days are quite painful and having an ice machine is a game changer. I had borrowed a unit from a friend which died two days after surgery. A friend then loaned me a manual unit, where you hold the unit up and it fills the cooling pad. The chill would only last for an hour before I had to empty the pad and then refill. This was all night long! I went onto Amazon and ordered your Polar ice machine, but it continuously showed it had not been shipped. I knew I could not wait any longer as I desperately needed the unit so called your company directly and had the pleasure of speaking with Terri. She told me that FedEx was coming in about 15 minutes but if I placed the order immediately she would walk it out to the truck to ensure it was on its way. She then mentioned about a full circumference pad versus the more traditional pad that sits on top of the knee and made sure that pad was included in the shipment. The unit has been amazing and particularly appreciate the remote where I can set the length of chilling time and length of time off. In the early days, I would need the unit at night and having that feature was wonderful. If I fell asleep with the unit on, I knew it would cycle off particularly if you set the off time to zero. Having the chill cycle on and off continuously I believe has really aided in my recovery, which I am told is well ahead of schedule. I can highly recommend not only this product but this company. It is unusual anymore to find amazing customer service and would recommend to anyone needing postsurgical devices to work with your company directly. They will be very pleased they did so! Thanks again for being a great company!

Details: Knee replacement patient. This is the best thing for recovery. Easy to use, quiet and comfortable this made recovery much easier. The timer cord is great and allows use overnight. I used freezer packs from food orders they lasted a good 7 hours. Controlling the swelling is essential and this does the trick. Feels so good. If you have joint pain and swelling this is the best gift you could give yourself. If your going for surgery this will speed recovery. Great product.

Details: After knee replacement this has been essential at icing which is timed and can continue safely during sleep and also provides gentle compression. It is quiet yet provides some pleasing low level white noise. Recommend to me by PT and would recommend to everyone!

Details: Excellent product!!! I read about it online from a Dr/PT that recommended this system. Customer service was great. I received it promptly. I just had a knee replacement surgery and this works so well. There’s no messing with ice because you can freeze water bottles and it lasts all day! At first my husband would put it on me because you can set a timer how long you want it on and how long you want it off! You can buy other attachments to fit other body parts. How convenient!

Details: These machines are great! I borrowed one from a friend for my first knee surgery and was blown away by its easy use and comfort. Second surgery I purchased my own machine (cheaper than from ebay or amazon) and it worked just as good. NEVER a problem. I would order a longer hose if I had to do it again...luckily I had a little side table to set it on...but the quality and price were great!
