Details: I got my Active Ice machine in November of 2021 to help with my recovery from total knee replacement. It worked flawlessly using frozen water bottles plus water in the reservoir. TIP: REMOVE LABELS FROM WATER BOTTLES so the labels don't clog up the filter! I used the machine steadily for the first few weeks and kept using it after physical therapy for several more weeks. I ran the bleach solution through it, drained it thoroughly and left it exposed to drain and dry as much as possible. Stored it a long time. 18 months later, I lent it to a friend who was having TKR - it worked flawlessly for her whole recovery. Before storing it again, I did the basic maintenance and drying. This past May I had a minor knee surgery - used it for a few weeks after that - worked great! Rinsed and drained and stored.... And just a few months ago, I lent it to yet another friend who had TKR and it worked flawlessly for her recovery. Now I'm getting it ready to lend to someone else getting a new knee next month! (I live in an over 55 community - could you guess?) I think the filter finally needs to be replaced, but other than that this machine has been a life saver to me and all my friends. Highly recommend for convenience and durability. The timer is a wonderful feature. Great way to get safe cycled cold therapy. The machine comes with extra O rings which I have not needed so far. The instructions should be amended to suggest that users take the labels off water bottles before freezing them if they are using that method. I do wish it had come with a spare filter as the shipping cost for the replacement filter costs more than the filter itself.

Details: I purchased the Polar Active Ice 3.0 9-quart knee and joint cold therapy system prior to having total knee replacement. I read several reviews, and almost all were 4 to 5 stars. Along with the system, I purchased a total knee wrap. The knee wrap that came with the system worked great, but the total knee wrap fully wraps my knee in pain relieving coldness. I use frozen water bottles instead ice to keep the water cold. This allows for less work treatments. I would give the more than 5 stars if I could, and I will recommend it to anyone who needs ice therapy for pain relief.

Details: I used the Polar Active Ice Knee Therapy System after knee replacement surgery, and it was a life saver! I used it non-stop for the first week, and appreciate the ability to adjust on/off time and cold intensity. The product is very portable, I was able to move it from room to room independently. And the velcro straps are very secure. I highly recommend it!

Details: I have been using this for 6 weeks following knee replacement and could not ask for a better solution. This is so much better than swapping out ice packs and the timing cycles made the first two weeks much more bearable. I still use it daily with great success and will keep using it during my full rehab cycle. I did have an issue with the reservoir (very minor, did NOT impact function) so I called Customer Service. 3 minutes later I was told a replacement was on the way along with an RMA to return my existing unit. Fantastic Customer Service and no down time for me. This is how a successful business should operate. I have already shared my experience with friends, neighbors, and family.

Details: I have nothing but positive things to say about this product. I have been using it for a month now following ACL reconstruction. The pain relief it offers is incredible, much better than any ice pack or sleeve. That cool recirculating water is such a relief. Customizing the on/off time is fantastic. Early on I wanted way more on time and less off time. As I’ve healed, that has changed some. Though I purchased this for the surgery, I am absolutely certain I will be using it for more routine aches and pains in the future. I love this thing and if and when it needs replacement, I will absolutely purchase another direct from the manufacturer.

Details: As an older athlete, cold therapy is a game changer. I was first introduced to circulating cold to relieve pain post surgery and thus relieve stress and promote healing. This product is reliable and help with my most workout recovery for shoulders and knees. Allowing me to keep going.

Details: Please add this suggestion to my previous feedback I sent in earlier today.... it would be VERY helpful if the remote control sounded a light beep when it shifts ON and OFF (both ways). This sound would get your attention. As it is now, there is nothing to get your attention when it shifts modes (other than the LED light which if it is not within your range of eyesight is nothing.)

Details: We got this for care after knee replacement surgery- this is knee #2 and we only had ice packs for the first one. Total game changer. Pain and swelling far less that first time around. The 9 qt with 6 bottles of frozen water stays icy cold for up to 12 hours (10 when we change out the water or allow the water to warm up), so it lasts all night long. The pump is super quiet, and the timer is easy to figure out. We started with the regular knee pad until we figured out that the full circumference knee pad would work better for the purpose at hand.

Details: We decided to buy an ice machine for our son's ACL and Meniscus surgery so my husband researched and found that the Polar Active Ice 3.0 had everything we wanted: temperature control, 24 hour on/off/ time increment cycle control, and multiple pad choices. We ordered it and it arrived within 2 days. It was easy to set up and we found using the frozen water bottles worked beautifully as recommended in the instructions. This was a game changer in our son's recovery! His pain and surgical swelling were significantly less! My son loved it. Another important thing to mention is their customer service-A+! I emailed Polar Products on a Saturday night, late and they responded on Sunday! We would highly recommend the Polar Active Ice 3.0 Knee & Joint Cold Therapy System!

Details: I had a total knee replacement 2 weeks ago and I have been using this machine 4 times a day. In the morning I set it to come on for 20 minutes and go off for 20 minutes and repeat the cycle once more. In the evening I do the same thing. I love the remote control, and the machine works great right out of the box. The best thing to do is read the directions! There are bits of information you need to know before you begin using this machine.
