Details: I purchased this to use after a knee replacement. It has been a lifesaver! I could run it all night and would stay cold for about 6 hours. It greatly reduced swelling and pain.

Details: Contacted the company regarding my order it was placed and shipped the same day. It arrived as expected in good working order with no damage. The unit was as expected. It functions perfectly from the moment it arrived. Instructions were explicit and simple. I really enjoyed the extension as it made setting the unit up much easier. Also the unit that allows me to adjust the flow and time of the unit being on or off also is very enjoyable and appreciated. The only issue I had at all was that the heavy tubing and the knee pad itself, the tubing becomes a little less sturdy and therefore has a tendency towards a twist which blocks up the system and doesn’t allow her to work once you identify this, so it is easily remedied, and you just pay attention to it in a function swallow sleep.

Details: Your cold therapy system has really been a lifesaver in helping keep my wife's knee swelling down after her recent total knee replacement surgery. It is so much easier that having to replace bags of ice as we are using frozen water bottles versus ice. Her only recommendation would be to make the knee therapy pad larger to allow it wrap completely around the knee and provide cold therapy around the complete knee joint.

Details: The Polar Active Ice cold therapy system was a "God send" for me as I recuperated from shoulder surgery. It was very easy to use, quiet and helped in keeping my pain at a very tolerable point.

Details: I've had an ice machine from Polar Products for several years. The most recent purchase was to replace a machine I used for shoulder surgery (rotator cuff) and knee replacement. My old unit's motor no longer operated when I went to check it out prior to my 2nd knee replacement. The benefits of the machine easily outweigh the cost and I got really good utilization from that machine. Although both machines look similar, I like the new machine control system better. It has variable speeds which allow you to better control temperature therapy. I also prefer the digital timer. One recurring issue I have had is that after a year the bladders start to leak. This is probably due to the glue utilized which is a recurring problem here in the tropics.

Details: I ordered the 9-quart knee system on the Polar website prior to my knee surgery. Unfortunately, there was a shipping delay, but one call to Polar and they shipped me a replacement unit to arrive on time. The customer service is superior and I'm extremely happy with my cooling unit (Thanks Arla!). My doctor was surprised by how fast my swelling has gone down. I believe it's due to using the system consistently. As an athlete, I'm going to use it for recovery once I resume sports which looks like will be soon! Thank you Polar!

Details: Recently I hurt my knee while skiing. I’ve been using the Active Ice 3.0 Cold Therapy System for the past 2 weeks. The swelling significantly went down in the first two days of using it. The timer and temperature flow control works out perfectly as I was able to set 20 min on/off during the night. I use 6 frozen water bottles and the water stays cool for a good 6+ hours. I would highly recommend anyone who is about to go through any knee procedures. This is a MUST have system for post-surgical recovery.

Details: I think this product has been a game changer in speeding up my recovery after knee replacement surgery. It not only helps with the swelling, but I think it helps with relieving pain. Also, after physical therapy, I can come home and ice my knee instead of staying and doing it there.

Details: A friend recommended that I get a cold water system for my TKR recovery. I bought this system because it was programmable and the cool water would last a long time using 6 frozen water bottles rather than loose ice. My recovery has been phenomenal. I maintained the cool water therapy for long periods of time during the first 2 weeks. Now I am closing in on 4 weeks post op and I am walking 2 miles every day, driving at 2 weeks, and my swelling is nearly gone. Quality product and a definite must have for recover.
