Details: With ice bottles, this machine worked for 7-8 hours. Ice packs lasted 30-40 minutes before we had to re-freeze them. Customer service was wonderful. We realized four days before surgery that we had ordered the default joint pad but needed the knee circumference pad instead. The superb customer service person shipped it to us to arrive before surgery.

Details: I bought this for the 1st of several knee replacement for my wife and I. We had used ice packs for prior surgeries and wanted less hassle and longer cooling. This product had best reviews and is made in USA. My wife used it after her 1st TKR and it was easy to use and very effective. Using frozen water bottles it lasted overnight on the 20 on 10 off setting at level 2. If you have on level 4 it lasted 4-6 hours. Either way it lasted a lot longer than ice packs. It was simple to set and the timer was easy to use. It worked as advertised and no mechanical issues.

Details: I used frozen water bottles per their recommendation. It made it easy. I kept 2 bags with ice bottles in the freezer. So once one was thawed i would put it back in the freezer and take the other bag of frozen water bottles. I used 5 bottles instead of the max 6. It kept it cold for at least 8 hours. Probably more. But i bought 2, one for downstairs which i used during the day. The other was upstairs and i used it at night. It had good flow and was cold enough. I had bandages and a wrap around my knee and leg . I tried the small wrap for the knee but then i got the big wrap for the knee and liked it much better.

Details: I bought this for my friend's knee replacement. She states it is a lifesaver. She loves the timer option, which is wonderful through the night. She also likes the convenience of using frozen water bottles. She raves about this system to everyone!

Details: Using this ice machine after my knee surgery has been so easy to use, can last cold a very long time without having to be restarted like my old one. Has different cold temps settings. Even the wrap around my knee is easier to use. I love it.

Details: The Polar Active Ice 3.0 is simple and reliable. My Active Ice has held up great through LTKR and RHR recoveries. I will use it for my upcoming RTKR recovery, although I bought a backup Polar Ice Active 3.0 as a precaution.

Details: A friend told me to get a cold therapy system for my root meniscus knee surgery, telling me I could thank her later. She also said to take the cooling pad with me to surgery for surgeon to wrap with the bandage and inside the brace. I did, and have thanked her. Being able to do consistent timed cooling throughout my first days and nights of recovery, changing ice bottles just twice per day, was a relief. I've no control of not doing that, but know pain was eased with cooling and I was able to taper off pain meds in a few days. I chose Polar Products for high ratings, and a family business with great customer service (a real person answered the phone and answered my questions when I was deciding what to buy). I ordered on their website and shipping was prompt and on time.

Details: My kind brother ordered the knee replacement unit of Polar Ice system to help me speed my recovery. I am very impressed with how easy it is to set up and operate. I use the cooling pad several times a day and my knee feels better every day!

Details: This cooling kit did wonders in keeping my swelling under control after my TKR surgery. I especially like the consistent cold temp as opposed to ice packs that start cold and warm up. If the Game Ready machine at PT is the Porsche of cooling systems this is the Toyota of cooling. Practical, and an order of magnitude cheaper but gets the job done.
