Details: Multiple arthritic joints. Ice pack gels were getting too inefficient to use. Was referred to Polar from a friend who has shoulder surgery. His physician sent this system home with him as post surgery pain management. All I can say is, if you’re at all interested in this icing system, don’t hesitate. It’s very effective. Works exactly as promised.

Details: Recently purchased and highly recommend. 2 advantages over at least many of its competitors: the timer (ex.: 20 min on 40 min off) is great, and the ability to rotate big frozen water bottles (rather than deal with individual ice cubes, etc.) 6 or 7 at a time.(The latter is a huge convenience when you have a lame knee.) I used the universal pad and recommend for its versatility. Absolutely a great purchase that facilitated recovery!

Details: This works great. I use it on my knee but bought the larger pad so I can use elsewhere if needed. I have had one knee replaced and the primary reason i got it. Helped reduced the swelling versus ice packs. Only wished i would have purchased this before the surgery instead of two weeks after, though my second knee is scheduled to be replaced, 9 weeks after the first, and I'll be ready now.

Details: In short, this rectangular bladder is way better than smaller knee only bladders. It wraps all the way around my knee or leg, above or below my knee, and is fantastic. This is definitely the way to go.

Details: My wife has been very pleased with the Polar Active Ice System used for her back pain. The rectangular bladder has been excellent, it provides icy cool bladder on her back at night allowing her sleep by reducing her pain level from an 8 to 4. We also accidentally had the cooler fall off the bed and appreciate the durability of the cooler and tubes and wire.

Details: I have been using the Polar Active Ice machine for at least 3 months now to help control my pain from a pinched nerve below my C7 vertebra. The pinched nerve causes extreme pain down my left shoulder and left arm down to my fingers.
