Details: Purchased the hip pad attachment for the Polar Active Ice Machine. It worked fabulously after my hip replacement. Such a great product that is easy to use and provides constant ice therapy when needed.

Details: This cooling wrap kept the swelling down after hamstring repair surgery. It was easy to set up & use. The only negative is that the belt is very wide, making it difficult to pull off the Velcro strip and the plastic Velcro material itself sheds. In less than a week, quite a few spots in the Velcro strip were bare of any plastic hooks.

Details: I used this cold pad coming out of recovery and through the first weeks of my hip replacement surgery. While the size of this pad is large I was able to wrap it around my lateral incision without issue. A few days post surgery my thigh was sore and the pad was able to cover the incision down to the thigh. I have not had any bruising or swelling after surgery. I kept the polar pack in use for the first few days continuously then started rotating it. Very happy with this product and would not have a hip replacement without it.

Details: The Polar Ice Extended Hip pad is a nice size to go under the buttock on the operated hip and wrap around the front of the thigh. I'm a bit concern about the connection of the tubes to the pad that they might tear after multiple manipulations, so I'm very careful not to pull on that area.

Details: First, we have found the Polar Active Ice machine to be the most effective, easiest and comfortable way to cool injured muscle and tissue that was EVER INVENTED! So far we have used it for 2 knee surgeries, one foot surgery and 2 hip surgeries. It helps treat swelling faster than any other method we know of. A terrific feature is the ability to automatically set the amount of minutes you want the cooling On and the amount you want Off, in . We have even worn it while sleeping! This little machine is tough, too - very sturdy! We have lent it to a number of family members and it has withstood the test of time, over the last four years. We are so grateful for the comfort it has brought us, time and again!

Details: I purchased this pad for my upcoming hip replacement surgery in October. My shoulder was replaced in January of 2023 and I purchased the Polar Active Ice 3.0 and the shoulder pad. IT WAS GREAT. I only used the Oxy for 2 days. The ice therapy and Tylenol was plenty to keep me comfortable.

Details: I love this new pad which I used with my ice machine after a total left hip replacement. I originally purchased the ice machine 1-1/2 yrs. ago when my 95 yr. old husband had a knee replacement. I bought the original ice machine with a knee pad never imagining I would need a new hip. If I had to do it all over again, I would have bought the back pad instead as it is more flexible for other joint issues.

Details: The pad is large and is effective at covering the entire area around the hip incision. Reducing swelling greatly speeds healing and recovery. We used 2- 1 gallon jugs 3/4 full of water, frozen them and then swapped them as needed. They keep the unit cold for many hours with no mess. Make sure to position the hose properly to avoid kinking it and reducing the water flow.
