Details: We've had our Polar Active Ice for about 3 years now. We bought this when our son had to have knee surgery in 2022. And now he just had another knee surgery. Our daughter is very involved with sports and will periodically need to ice some part of her body. Polar Active Ice has been such a game changer for us, it makes it SO SO easy to really ice the affected area as often as you want without dealing with dripping, melting ice in ziploc bags, etc. You can set it and forget it, it's great. Evidently we had the old version of the remote control with the used unit that we purchased from someone. The upgraded version of the remote is great as it allows us to set a cooling level that we couldn't do before. You might not think this matters much but it actually does. With our son's recent knee surgery the affected area was sensitive to ice, so being able to set the machine to a coolness level of 1 (versus 2, 3 or 4) was extremely helpful. Any household with kids or active adults should have one of these!

Details: I had a total hip replacement & purchased the polar ice cooling system. I am so happy I did. I am 4 days postoperative and my pain was minimal. I am on a regimen of medications but the cooling sensation made everything better. I would highly recommend this product to everyone who has any type of joint replacement!

This is my second knee I am having replace and I lost the timer - it was so easy to replace and the staff is great!!! and so is the ice machine :)

Details: This controller is wonderful, also love that I got the longer cord. Being my hurt shoulder was my dominant it is nice to have the extra length to reach the control, also love being able to adjust the temperature.

Details: Works well as a temperature control and times the on and off periods in increments of 10 minutes. Like 0, 10, 20, 30 and so on for either on or off times. Adding the timer extension cord does make it more convenient. It is a good buy.

Details: I adore this flow control timer. I set it on 2 for night time and 20 minutes on, and 10 minutes off. Then in a heavy flannel shirt, I left it going all night to control pain and swelling. Not saying this will work for everyone but it worked great for me. I wouldn't be able to leave the cooling on all night unless I was able to turn it down. I am just over a week post-op and doing very well. I removed the timer that came with my system and just use this one. Standalone.
