Details: This is the second product I purchased from Polar Products the first was a hip pad for my hip replacement back in 2021. It was probably the best thing I ever did for post-op surgery, as I was able to sleep with the pad on and iced all through the night and day. That’s why when I knew I was having my shoulder replaced recently, I wanted to get the shoulder pad because I know how important the icing is after surgery and getting me back to normal!

Details: The Large shoulder pad worked very well to keep the swelling down after I had reverse shoulder replacement surgery. I had purchased a 16 quart Polar Ice machine through a different outlet. I purchased the shoulder pad here. It did wonders, little to no swelling or pain. It's not easy to put on by oneself, especially the 1st time. After that I could slide my arm in without unfastening all the straps. The remote is easy to program, I was doing 20 minutes on 10 off. The ice bottles (9 of them in my 16 qt cooler) would last around 6 + hours. I supplemented that with a gallon size slider bag full of ice cubes which kept everything cold for 10 hours +. I used it almost continuously for most of the first 4 days and then less frequently over 2 weeks. I would rather have rented one but here in California anyway that was not available. I would not do a surgery without this. Highly recommend.

Details: Extra strong velcro, both a blessing and a curse. This is the 3rd product I've bought, one for knee, one for back and this for shoulder surgery. Need a helper to put it on, but it does an excellent job with even coverage and no slipping.

Details: Had a rotator cuff repair and this ice machine and therapy pad for inflammation and pain management was a game changer for me. It delivered cold water 20 min on 20 min off. I didn't have to move. Easy to disconnect and reconnect if needed. Just knowing that you need to start the timer again to make sure your connection is secure so it doesn't leak. 10 out of 10 recommend this product for rotator cuff surgery recovery!

Details: Works very well, sweats a bit but that cant be avoided. The only downside is the straps cut into the armpits. They are fairly soft and wide enough but prolonged use can be uncomfortable. We made wraps like the kind that are used with automotive seat belts. Works well, minimal effort to make them.

Details: We had the Polar Active Ice 3.0 since 2019 and used twice before recently buying the shoulder pad for my wife right shoulder surgery. The system is still working like new and the shoulder pad was the best decision to add. It is much easier to setup and manage. My wife has been so pleased with it and her recovery have been much faster. I want to thank Polar for their excellent customer service and fast shipping.

Details: This goes far enough down to cool both the rotator labrum repair as well as my reattached biceps . The adjustable flow rate is great at night when too Many blankets can make it seem colder with all the insulation … great design don’t bother with the crappy imitators .. also the design of the ice chests is manageable and allows for easy dumping of water . I take 6 one liter Fiji water bottles and cut the tops Off and can fit 6 in the chest and top it with cubes - lasts all day!

Details: You can tell the person who designed this actually used it! I had a generic one that did fit my polar products active ice but what a piece of junk that was - slow flow rate poor coverage and it just would move around . This polar products one stays put once you strap In and works well with the splitter so I could ice my knee and shoulder off the same ice chest without flow to either one being uneven - someone really tested this right. The Velcro really holds well. What a major upgrade from the junky competitors - way to go Polar products!

Details: I am using this system after rotator cuff surgery. It has been a real help with pain management, I especially like the control that lets you set the pump speed, and on/off times. This pad is a better choice than the other, smaller shoulder pad (which I also have), as it spreads the cold over a larger area. Only downside is that it is challenging to put on when arm in sling. Also, customer service was very good in answering a pre-purchase question.
