The Design:

• Our cooling reservoirs will hold more ice or frozen water bottles than competitors, which will lengthen the duration of cold therapy before needing to add more ice or swapping out your frozen water bottles. With twice the reservoir size allowing for twice the ice/frozen water bottle capacity as our biggest competitors, Active Ice® will get you through the night!
• Try frozen water bottles instead of ice! Our large cooling reservoirs allow for the use of frozen water bottles which is an easy and convenient alternative to ice. They are reusable and can be easily swapped out with an extra set from the freezer once thawed, eliminating the need to drain melted water. This is also a big help for the caregiver. The 9-quart cooling reservoir holds up to six (6) 500 ml frozen water bottles and the 16-quart cooling reservoir holds up to twelve (12) 500 ml frozen water bottles.
• Convenient on/off button on the programmable digital timer eliminates any potential danger from fumbling in the dark to plug-in or unplug your system.
• The cooler lid on the system is hinged and snaps in place, keeping it properly sealed. No mess!
• The therapy pad is optimized to provide comfortable cold therapy to the desired body part while providing gentle compression. The insulated outer fabric directs maximum cold therapy to the target area.
• Comfortable and easy to reuse time and time again; simply add ice and water to the cooler!
• High-flow, dry, quick-disconnect couplings allow for freedom of movement, if needed.

The Timer: A critical safety feature! The patent-pending programmable digital timer allows the system to be set specifically per your healthcare providers' recommendation. The user can set custom "on" and "off" times. Examples include (but are not limited to) setting our system to cycle throughout the night with 20 minutes on and then 40 minutes off, or on for just 30 minutes and then shut off. 	Head Therapy Cap 13" x 18" x 11" with adjustable drawstrings 100% cotton fabric This therapy cap is used for head and scalp cold therapy.
	Arctic Chiller System The chiller system eliminates the need for filling, refilling, and emptying a cooler of ice and water. Uses a 1/10 hp chiller to provide the cooling required. The system is simply filled with water and the chiller set at the desired temperature between 4c (40f) and 21c (70f). Digital LED Temperature Display Control The anti-freezing system will not allow the heat exchanger to freeze. Standard chiller only works on 120 VAC 60 Hz current.

	Five-Foot Insulated Tubing Extension  #XT4 This tubing extension provides an additional five feet of insulated tubing. It connects in between the therapy pad and cooling reservoir's tubing via quick-disconnect couplings.
	Utility 3-Tier Cart  #CART This utility three-tier cart is ideal for use with any Chiller System. Please note, assembly is required.

• The Active Ice® 3.0 System can be cold enough, under certain conditions, to injure the skin.
• Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use. Provide a complete medical history, specifically any reactions to the cold.
• Certain medical conditions may be more susceptible to cold-related injuries. Ask your practitioner about any potential adverse reactions.
• Caution: use of cold therapy by children, diabetics, incapacitated patients, and those with poor circulation or special skin conditions should be carefully supervised by a medical professional.
• Use only as prescribed by a licensed healthcare practitioner and follow all of his or her instructions regarding the frequency and duration of cold therapy, proper temperature, how and when to check the skin, and length of treatment.
• Completely read and follow all included Operation Instructions, Warnings, and Cautions before using the Active Ice® 3.0 System.

Product Warranty Information

Polar Products Inc. warrants that this product is free from defects in workmanship, materials and fitness for use, for six-months from initial purchase under normal use for which it was intended. Polar's obligation under this warranty is limited to the replacement or repair of any defective part(s) of this product. If you have a problem with your Active Ice® 3.0 System, please call Polar's customer service at 1.800.763.8423 to obtain a Returned Goods Authorization number (RGA#).

Please note: health regulations prohibit us from accepting returns on used cold therapy systems. If there is a problem with its operation (as covered by the warranty), and the system is within its 180-day warranty period, it will be repaired at no charge. Unused systems may be returned with a 15% disassembly, inspection and restocking fee, within 30 days of the initial purchase. Call Polar to arrange.
