The Design:

• Try frozen water bottles instead of ice! Our large cooling reservoirs allow for the use of frozen water bottles which is an easy and convenient alternative to ice. They are reusable and can be easily swapped out with an extra set from the freezer once thawed, eliminating the need to drain melted water. This is also a big help for the caregiver. The 9-quart cooling reservoir holds up to six (6) 500 ml frozen water bottles and the 16-quart cooling reservoir holds up to twelve (12) 500 ml frozen water bottles.
• Convenient on/off button on the programmable timer eliminates any potential danger from fumbling in the dark to plug-in or unplug your system.
• The cooler lid on the system is hinged and snaps in place, keeping it properly sealed. No mess!

The Programmable Timer & Adjustable Temperature Flow Control (Patent-Pending): The Active Ice® System includes our patent-pending timer that allows you to set custom cold therapy "on" and "off" duration cycles, so you can specifically follow your healthcare provider's instruction on the proper and safe use of cold therapy. Treatment duration times can be set in ten-minute increments, up to 990 minutes, for either "on" or "off." Never worry about the safety concerns of falling asleep with the system on. Our timer will cycle "on" and "off" per the set times, for as long as desired. This ensures safe, convenient and effective cold therapy treatment, perfect for post-surgery pain management and relief, day or night. In addition, the control allows the user to choose from 4 coldness levels depending on the user's comfort and desire. This is a critical safety and convenience feature! (Compare this to many of our competitors, which have no timer, no coldness control and even no on/off switch... systems must be unplugged after each use!) Optional Accessories for the Active Ice® 3.0 Cold Therapy System

	Five-Foot Insulated Tubing Extension  #XT4 This tubing extension provides an additional five feet of insulated tubing. It connects in between the therapy pad and cooling reservoir's tubing via quick-disconnect couplings.
	Power Take-Off Adapter  #PTOA  This power take-off adapter plugs directly into a car, boat, RV or any 12 Volt DC Car power outlet, which allows the Active Ice® System to be used on-the-go.
	Timer Extension Cord  #TEC This 8-foot timer extension cord allows for the timer to be placed closer to the user and adds flexibility in regards to timer placement.

Product Safety and Precautions

• The Active Ice® 3.0 System can be cold enough, under certain conditions, to injure the skin.
• Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use. Provide a complete medical history, specifically any reactions to the cold.
• Certain medical conditions may be more susceptible to cold-related injuries. Ask your practitioner about any potential adverse reactions.
• Caution: use of cold therapy by children, diabetics, incapacitated patients, and those with poor circulation or special skin conditions should be carefully supervised by a medical professional.
• Use only as prescribed by a licensed healthcare practitioner and follow all of his or her instructions regarding the frequency and duration of cold therapy, proper temperature, how and when to check the skin, and length of treatment.
• Completely read and follow all included Operation Instructions, Warnings, and Cautions before using the Active Ice® 3.0 System.

Product Warranty Information

Polar Products Inc. warrants that this product is free from defects in workmanship, materials and fitness for use, for six-months from initial purchase under normal use for which it was intended. Polar's obligation under this warranty is limited to the replacement or repair of any defective part(s) of this product. If you have a problem with your Active Ice® 3.0 System, please call Polar's customer service at 1.800.763.8423 to obtain a Returned Goods Authorization number (RGA#).

Please note: health regulations prohibit us from accepting returns on used cold therapy systems. If there is a problem with its operation (as covered by the warranty), and the system is within its 180-day warranty period, it will be repaired at no charge. Unused systems may be returned with a 15% disassembly, inspection and restocking fee, within 30 days of the initial purchase. Call Polar to arrange.
