Our water-activated cooling products use an innovative evaporative gel technology that activates with a simple soak in cold water, then keeps you cool for hours through evaporation. Just soak, allow to drip dry if desired, put it on, and go.

Simple Technology. Real Results.

Cool Comfort® products are built around a specialized gel that absorbs and holds water, in low humidity climates the water will gradually evaporate. That evaporation draws heat away from your body, much like the sweat on your body cools through evaporation. Evaporative cooling is excellent in very dry or low-humidity climates, where the water in the vest can readily evaporate. In higher humidity climates, we suggest Kool Max or Phase Change cooling. 

For an extra boost in initial cooling, Polar’s Cool Comfort may be water charged, allow it to dry a bit and then place the wrap in the refrigerator or freezer. 

Cooling duration depends on how much water the garment has absorbed and the environmental humidity level. The quicker the moisture in the vest evaporates, the more cooling. Conversely, in high humidity, there will be very little evaporation and virtually no cooling. Generally, the cooling will last several hours before the garment needs to be re-soaked. Re-soaking takes just minutes, making it easy to refresh and keep going.
