These pediatric cooling garments are specifically designed for children and pre-teens ages 5-12. All Cool Kids™ cooling apparel uses cooling packs offering a cool and comfortable temperature of 58 degrees Fahrenheit.

The purchase of a kit include a complete extra set of Cool58® Packs for each product! Keep the extra set in the freezer or a cooler, so they are ready when you are.

1. ADJUSTABLE, CUSTOM FIT
It is important for cooling vests to fit snug to the body for optimal cooling. This cooling vest has adjustable hook and loop straps at the chest, waist and shoulders for a snug, comfortable and customized fit.

2. CONVENIENT AND EASY TO WEAR

Once the cooling vest has been adjusted for size, it is easy to put on every time with the zipper-pull front. The clean design has no logos or visible pack pockets. Wear the vest over clothing or discreetly underneath.

3. COMFORTABLE 100% COTTON

The cooling vest shell is constructed of durable and machine washable 100% cotton twill.

4. COOL58® COOLING PACKS

Cool58® cooling packs freeze solid at a moderate and comfortable temperature of 58° Fahrenheit (14.4° Celsius), so they can be activated in a freezer, refrigerator, or even a bucket of ice water. These reusable packs deliver comfortable cooling for up to 2-3 hours. (Please note: cooling times are estimates and will vary depending on climate, body metabolism and activity.) This vest includes four (4) segmented 6" x 6" Cool58® packs. See the size chart for more information.

5. INSULATED PACK POCKETS

Packs fit into insulated pockets inside the cooling vest. The pockets have a comfortable all-cotton fabric to protect the skin and an insulated outer composite fabric to direct the cooling energy toward the body. Temperature may also be adjusted for comfort by increasing or decreasing the number of clothing layers beneath the vest or the number of packs used.

6. VARIABLE WEIGHT

Weight may be adjusted by varying the number of cooling packs used. Need a lighter weight vest? You don't have to use all of the packs! The use of separate, individual packs allows the number of cooling packs used to be customized for each person's preference and size. Some people find that using just packs down the spine works well, while others prefer all of the packs. Our design allows many options!

7. PATENT PENDING SPINAL COOLING

Pack pockets are placed strategically down the spine for optimal cooling. (Patent pending design!) The location of desired cooling is easily controlled by which pack pockets are used.

How do Cool58® phase change cooling packs work?

Cool58® cooling packs freeze solid at a moderate and comfortable temperature of 58° Fahrenheit (14.4° Celsius), so they can be frozen in a freezer, refrigerator, or even a bucket of ice water.
Once activated, these reusable packs deliver comfortable cooling for up to 2-3 hours. (Please note: cooling times are estimates and will vary depending on climate, body metabolism and activity.)
Packs are non-toxic and non-flammable.
Packs do not require a freezer! Packs can simply be submerged in ice water or placed in a refrigerator or freezer to activate. Easy to use - packs can be activated by simply submerging the packs into ice water for up to 20 minutes when access to freezers is not available.
Works in any climate - extreme heat and humidity are no problem! The cooling performance is not impacted by humidity or outside temperature.

How to find your size: This vest is adjustable at the shoulders, chest and waist. Therefore, it will fit a large range of sizes. These measurements may help determine the best size for you:

To measure the chest and waist circumference: First, wrap a soft measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest and under your armpits, making sure to keep the tape parallel to the ground. This determines your chest measurement. Then wrap a measuring tape around your natural waistline (usually across your belly button), making sure to keep the tape parallel to the ground. See where the larger of the two measurements fall on the size chart. Please note: The vest circumference is independently adjustable at the chest and waist with hook and loop strap closures. if you think you are in between two sizes, order the next size up to accommodate the cooling packs.
To measure the vest length: Hold the tape measure at the highest point of your shoulder. Look straight ahead and pull it down to your natural waist. Mark this measurement on the tape measure with your thumb. Please note: The vest length can be adjusted at the shoulders. When in doubt, order the next size up to accommodate the cooling packs and to prevent the vest from looking too short.
Please note: the weight range is simply a guide; there are many exceptions for different body types. The optional extension strap kit includes extensions for the waist, chest and shoulders. This allows extra fit adjustment for large people, extra long torsos or extra large chests or waists on smaller people.

Details: Our daughter has a very rare genetic deletion called 22q13 or Phelan McDermid Syndrome. Body temperature regulation is effected by this and if it's over 80° Fahrenheit outside she can only spend a few minutes out. This phase change Cool58 [Cool Kids Cooling Vest] has helped greatly. Details: My son cannot sweat and overheats very quickly. We got the kids vest just recently and at 5yrs old it fits perfectly on the smallest settings so he will get a lot of wear out of it! It''s well made and seems comfortable to wear. We also got the kids neck cooler in the kit and it's great, it alone is enough on a warm day when the vest is too much. I wish the velcro were a little longer, it doesn't do up quite enough around his neck but it''s not a problem and he is happy and cool wearing it. So g... More details

Details: This is a wonderful, versatile vest. In the cooler northern climates will last about 3 hours. When we visited Florida though, we learned it lasted about a minimum of an hour in the spring/summer months. So have extra packs if you live in the more warmer southern climates. Other then that we have been very happy with our Cool Kids vest. It keeps my daughter very cool in the humid summer we have here up north.
