Details: As much good as the original 'knee pad' did (the one that came with my machine) I ended up ordering this one because my wife had an argument with the table saw (and she lost but, thankfully, didn't lose any fingers) and had emergency hand surgery. So I set that pad up for her to slide her mangled hand in/out of to more effectively ice it after the surgery and during recovery and, eventually, hand therapy. The thing is this: this pad covers more area around my knee than the original pad and I wish I'd gotten it earlier. There two things that knocked off the final star: 1) I wish the pad was just a bit bigger. Not much, just a bit (it still does the knee icing very well). 2) I wish it came standard with 3 straps (I bought an extra) and that those straps were also a couple inches longer that would make it easier to get the correct tightness to maximize the cold by keeping more of the pad in contact with my leg.

Details: I recently had a total knee replacement and I purchased the full therapy pad along with the joint pad. Both provided total cooling relief for my new knee. IMO the compression and the cold provided more relief than the meds. Awesome therapy tool!

Details: I have ordered at least 3 of these Polar Products over the past three years as I’ve experienced two total knee replacements myself and many of my friends have also. I highly recommend this product daily for the first three weeks after surgery to reduce swelling, manage pain, and relieve pressure throbbing. It’s easy to put together, easy to use, and easy to clean. My only suggestion is to be careful with the connecting tube to the pad as it becomes fragile with constant use. I have replaced the elastic straps and the actual pad, but the general system is 100% invaluable to someone experiencing total knee replacements.

Details: I am using both the Polar Active Ice 3.0 and the Full Circumference Knee Cold Therapy Pad. The ice machine is easy to use and the ice (I use frozen water bottles) lasts for long time periods. The automatic timer is a treasure. The knee pad wraps around the leg, icing both the front and back of the knee

Details: I've used the Polar Ice Machine for both knees now. The first knee I had the original pad that has the cutout at the knee. This time I ordered the full circumference pad and prefer it. I used the machine extensively pre and post-op knee replacements. Highly recommend!

Details: Before I had knee surgery, I had physical therapy on my knee. They used a full wrap to ice my knee so I thought I would get one to use at home. The one I purchased from Polar Products was a life saver. Along with the 9.0 qt. main unit I purchased, it was easy to use and provided much needed pain relief post-surgery. If you need ice therapy on any of your body parts, I strongly recommend this company and their products.

Details: I purchased a Polar ice machine 2 years ago prior to my knee replacement, and then a second knee replacement. It was a great way to have consistent ice treatment for pain and swelling. I prefer the full circumference knee pad vs the one with the knee cap opening. I unfortunately got an infection and now am awaiting a revision after antibiotic treatment. I ordered a new knee pad to use post op when I get a new knee joint. I followed the suggestion to use bottles filled with ice with the water and it kept it cold almost all day!

Details: If you’re looking for relief after your surgery, Polar Active Ice is what you need. I have used it for a total reverse shoulder replacement surgery twice . And now using it for a knee replacement surgery. For knee I bought a separate knee pad << two business days delivery as stated. Ordered early Monday morning surgery on Wednesday delivered Wednesday as stated . I use six frozen water bottles some times I and some ice. It runs very quiet, timer works great. You do need an isolator cooler pad and your skin, like a medium hand towel

Details: We ordered this pad to complement our Polar Ice Therapy for knees. My husband’s second knee replacement resulted in extensive removal of bone spurs on the backside of the knee. With this pad we were able to wrap the entire leg - not just ice the front. We had a problem with the power cord but customer service was SO helpful - sent us a new cord in 2 days at no charge. We are telling all our aging friends about this product! Being able to use the frozen water bottles and having circulating ice water gives the best rehab result! Thank you for your products and your customer service!
