Details: This item is perfect for my knee. I’m a fire captain in Southern California and have seen my fair share of injuries to myself and my coworkers. I have seen injuries that ended in the ultimate tragedy do to chronic pain and have always been leery of prescribed pain meds. My pain I feel is mostly mild but can increase to the point that I can’t walk or bend my knee. However as soon as I put on the pad and turn on my cooler I get immediate relief. I look forward to putting it on. I hope this work for you as well as it has for me. Good luck and be safe.

Details: I previously posted a a review on the overall system and the initial bladder )small foot) that I bought. We purchased several other bladders b/c 1) we did not know what would work for my 3 procedures/1 surgery/1 foot and also with the idea that we ice other parts. This universal rectangular pad is so versatile! Wonderful immediate post surgery for my very very swollen foot!

Details: I love that I can use this rectangle bladder and ice my whole lower leg at once. With a smaller bladder I had to ice nonstop and move it around every 20 minutes.

Details: I strained my hamstring while on my fitness/weight loss regime. To keep this injury manageable I consulted with my fitness coach and a good friend of mine who just happens to be an orthopedic rehab therapist and both urged ice/cold therapy. Well ice is messy and cold packs are speedy, lucky for me I had used the polar chiller on a rotator cuff injury in the past. All it took was a quick email to the company, they called me and helped me pick out the right size cooling pad to cover my hamstring. Now I can do my workouts or even work around my yard and if my leg acts up I fill the cooler with ice and water put the cooler pad according to the directions and plug in the pump. The therapy works and is helping me resolve this hamstring issue without have to interrupt my workouts.

Details: Did my second hip replacement with active ice 15quart and big rectangle cooling pad. I can ice whole hip with very cold uniform temperature. Leave non leaking system for 3 hours and ice again with out adding ice. Very convenient to get up and return later to a no fuss ready to cool system.

Details: Polar Active Ice 9 quart. Just got it and I am so happy with it so far.I probably would have ordered the 15 quart if I had the opportunity. But I love that it's quiet and the controls are easy and the ease of loading the ice compared to the other one I was using. Will be ordering other adapter for this unit electrical and pads!

Details: Had the pump unit from a previous surgery but the old pad leaked. Bought this pad to use in my recovery from total knee replacement surgery. Fit perfectly with my existing cooler unit. Seems durable. The built-in velcro strap holds securely. Works better than painkillers to relieve pain and swelling. Excellent product.
