Kool Max® Poncho Vest (#KMV) features:
  • Ten (10) 4.5" x 6" Kool Max® Packs
    • Provide constant cooling for up to 3-4 hours. (Please note: cooling times are estimates and will vary depending on climate, body metabolism and activity.)
    • Lightweight vest weighs up to 4.5 lbs. Weight may be adjusted by varying the number of cooling packs used.
    • The location of desired cooling is easily controlled by which pack pockets are used.
  • One (1) 100% cotton cooling vest
    • Simple and unisex design.
    • Size is adjustable with hook and loop closures at the chest, waist, and shoulders for a snug, comfortable and customized fit.
    • Packs fit into insulated pockets inside the vest. The pockets have a comfortable all-cotton fabric to protect the skin and an insulated outer composite fabric to direct the cooling energy toward the body. 
    • Discreet: can be worn over or beneath clothing.
    • Colors: Khaki or Blue

How to find your size: This vest is adjustable at the shoulders, chest and waist. Therefore, it will fit a large range of sizes. These measurements may help determine the best size for you:
  • To measure the chest and waist circumference: First, wrap a soft measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest and under your armpits, making sure to keep the tape parallel to the ground. This determines your chest measurement. Then wrap a measuring tape around your natural waistline (usually across your belly button), making sure to keep the tape parallel to the ground. See where the larger of the two measurements fall on the size chart. Please note: The vest circumference is independently adjustable at the chest and waist with hook and loop strap closures. if you think you are in between two sizes, order the next size up to accommodate the cooling packs. 
  • To measure the vest length: Hold the tape measure at the highest point of your shoulder. Look straight ahead and pull it down to your natural waist. Mark this measurement on the tape measure with your thumb. Please note: The vest length can be adjusted at the shoulders. When in doubt, order the next size up to accommodate the cooling packs and to prevent the vest from looking too short. 
  • Please note: the weight range is simply a guide; there are many exceptions for different body types. The optional extension strap kit includes extensions for the waist, chest and shoulders. This allows extra fit adjustment for large people, extra long torsos or extra large chests or waists on smaller people.

"I love my vest"

Details: I have MS, so any increase in HEAT is a problem. I put off getting a cooling vest for years. I am so glad I finally got one. I can go out and stay out for dinner out, a dog walk and any event in this Houston heat. Being in the shade helps, but this vest has made my life so much better.

Details: My vest arrived when it was over 100 degrees. I like to wear it in the afternoon on the way home from work. Then I have to walk my dogs. If I have a couple of packs that are a little softer, I put them at my spine area. I also like to wear it on my way to karate class in the car. My car air conditioning can't keep up with the heat so it helps keep my core cool. I have MS and I am 65. When I get too hot, I feel out of focus, almost like I am dizzy. This vest helps a lot.

Details: I LOVE my Kool Max Poncho vest. I used it for the first time last night amid our first bought of 90+ degree weather. The hot and humid weather has left me pretty much housebound, but in the interest of keeping the house cool I wanted to grill dinner. I knew there was no way I could venture out without my vest so I tried it. WOW, what a difference it made. Details: The Kool Max cooling vest is very useful in my job. As Mascot for the Akron Aeros it is very difficult, on those hot summer days, to remain cool. With the vest I can reduce the heat by 15 degrees inside my costume; and as little a difference you may think this is, it actually feels like a major one to me.

Details: We have a van-based traveling pizza kitchen for fairs and such in the summer. Last summer the temperature outdoors got to 104 degrees, but inside the van it hit 120 degrees! Our manager in the van used a Polar cooling vest and it was a life saver! We are very happy with this product. It works.
