The Military Phase Change & Evaporative Cooling Vest (PCEM) effectively cools the torso and body through the combination of Phase Change Packs and evaporative cooling technologies.

Phase Change Cooling Packs

Four (4) 5.5" x 14" Phase Change Packs provide a constant temperature of 58 degrees Fahrenheit for three (3) hours and don't require a freezer.
Packs fit into insulated pockets inside the vest. The pockets have a comfortable, all-cotton fabric to protect the skin and an insulated outer composite fabric to direct the cooling energy toward the body.
Note: Built-in pockets are also compatible with our Kool Max Cold Packs. These packs have high cooling energy for up to four (4) hours but do require access to a freezer. Order an extra set!
Lightweight vest weighs just 6 lbs. with all Phase Change Packs included; the amount of cooling, location and vest weight may be adjusted by varying the number of packs used.
The extra set of Phase Change Packs is a great value! Keep in the freezer or a cooler, ready to use.

Evaporative Cooling

This vest is a hybrid of phase change pack and evaporative cooling. This means that the vest provides additional cooling when it's wet, or can be used as a cooling vest even without the phase change packs.
Water causes a naturally cooling effect as it evaporates; these garments are made of a special fabric which holds the cooling energy for an extended period of time. Gently wring out excess water and it's ready to wear!
Once activated, the evaporative cooling will provide many additional hours of cooling relief.

Evaporative Cooling Military Boonie Cap (EBEC) will provide effective cooling to the head.

Simply remove the round insert inside the hat and submerse it in water for 1 to 3 minutes, or until it reaches the desired level of hydration.
Gently wring out excess water and then replace the insert into the hat - and it's ready to wear! No freezers or cold packs necessary.
Hook and loop attachments securely hold the insert in place.
Lightweight and sleek design.
